It is a history standing itself in Old Delhi with its proof. When Shahjahan decided to shift his capital from Agra to New Delhi, the decision for constructing the fort was taken in 1639. The Red Fort still retains some of its lost glory. The Red Fort was the last fort built in New Delhi. this royal building made of red sandstone and has historic values and symbol of victory and pride, Red fort is the location from where the Prime Minister of India addresses the nation every Independence Day.

Lal Qila or Red Fort Delhi is one of the most stunning Pieces of Mughal Architecture. Built on the western bank of river Yamuna, Lal Qila is Shah Jahans graceful fortress in red sandstone. Red Fort is the largest monument in Delhi. The famous Chandni Chowk bazaar (famous for traditional dresses) starts from the Red Fort and enhances its beauty. Thick Red sandstones walls, full to bursting with battlement and bastions, have withstood the vagaries of time and nature. Height of the walls varies from 18 meters on the riverside to 33 meters on the city side.
